Matthew S. Russell is an Associate with the firm. Mr. Russell specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Russell’s practice is directed towards drafting and prosecuting computer science, business method and electrical patent applications. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Russell was a Patent Examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office specializing in computer gaming patent applications. Before entering the practice of law, Mr. Russell worked for a Department of Defense contracting as a Project Engineer for three years with experience in sonar system design.
Mr. Russell is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
At the University of Pittsburgh, he was a member of the Journal of Law and Commerce, the Student Intellectual Property Law Association, and the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Certificate Program. Mr. Russell received a B.S. in Computer Science and Computer Engineer from West Virginia University.
