Ted Crawford

Ted Crawford is a Senior Associate with the firm. Mr. Crawford concentrates his practice on intellectual property law with an emphasis in patent matters. Mr. Crawford has experience in the areas of networking (with a focus in protocols, infrastructure, security and processors), wireless communications, computer platforms, integrated circuit devices and systems, optics, MEMS, bus protocols, Internet applications and software.

Prior to joining Kacvinsky Daisak, Mr. Crawford was Of Counsel for Omikron IP Law Group, a small law firm located in Oregon. While working with Omikron, Mr. Crawford conducted patent analysis work including file history reviews and evidence of use analysis. Also, while at Omikron, Mr. Crawford prepared and prosecuted patents in various areas of the electronic arts. Prior to Omikron, Mr. Crawford was a patent attorney and licensing intern for Intel Corporation. As a Patent Attorney for Intel, Mr. Crawford prepared and prosecuted patent applications and managed portions of Intel’s patent portfolios related to networking, telecommunications and mobile platforms. As a Licensing Intern, Mr. Crawford reviewed Intel patents to assess licensing potential.

Prior to joining the legal profession, Ted worked for seven years in the environmental industry in the areas of environment/workplace air monitoring and laboratory analysis.

Mr. Crawford is a 2003 graduate of both the Willamette University College of Law (J.D.) and the Willamette University Atkinson Graduate School of Management (M.B.A.). Mr. Crawford is also a 1997 graduate of the University of Utah School of Medicine (M.S.P.H.). Mr. Crawford is also a 1991 graduate of Weber State University (B.S. Applied Physics).

Mr. Crawford is a member of the Oregon Bar and has been registered to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office since 2001.
